A critical weather warning has been issued for the Emilia Romagna region ahead of F1 racing at Imola this weekend A red alert weather warning has been issued for the area surrounding this weekend's F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola. The Imola circuit is set to host the event but lies within a region covered by the warning, issued by the Sicurezza Territoriale Protezione Civile (Civil Defence). Issued on Monday in Bologna, the alert warns of persistent rain for the coming 48 hours 'of moderate intensity throughout the region.' Furthermore, it states that 'floods are expected close to the embankment,' with 'Significant increases in hydrometric levels on the minor hydrographic network...
