Mercedes 2022 driver announcement will not happen before Belgian GP

Article To news overview © Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff has revealed he wants the futures of Valtteri Bottas and George Russell to be settled in September, suggest that there will be no announcement in the next seven days prior to the Belgian Grand Prix. Last month, Mercedes indicated they aimed to make a final decision by the end of the summer break as F1 returns at Spa-Francorchamps on August 27-29. "We have to choose between the stability of Valtteri and the talent of George, where the future lies," Wolff told BILD.
