Russell painfully close to Q3: "Sure there was one-thousandth somewhere"

As the Mercedes contract talks heat up between the three drivers in question, George Russell has yet another strong qualifying session for Williams. The young British driver managed to secure the 11th fastest time on the grid but will move up to 10th following a penalty for Yuki Tsunoda.  Improvements During qualifying, Russell was painfully close to being able to compete in Q3 for the first time as a Williams driver. The man from Kings Lynn found himself just 0.008 seconds away from Lance Stroll.
