Teams' reactions after the nail-biting French Grand Prix

The opening station of the first triple-header of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Chamionship delivered a nail-biting French Grand Prix which saw Max Verstappen come out on top, beating the reigning champion Lewis Hamilton with a last-minute move. Following a mistak at the start, Max Verstappen was forced to chase his arch rival, Lewis Hamilton, who seemed to have the stronger race car. The first stint indicated that Mercedes has the better tyre management with both Valtteri Bottas and Hamilton enjoying the opening last on high fuel on the Medium compound.
