Baku organisers keen to host future Sprint Qualifying sessions

Azerbaijan Grand Prix organisers would be keen to host Sprint Qualifying sessions in future, if the format is carried over into next season. The format, which will see traditional qualifying shifted to Friday and a sprint race introduced on Saturday, will be trialled at three race weekends this year, starting with the British Grand Prix in July. The results of Friday qualifying will set the grid for Sprint Qualifying, which in turn sets the starting order for Sunday's Grand Prix. If the new race weekend structure is deemed a success, it could be rolled out more extensively in future seasons.
