Perez has mixed feelings over Ocon's future
Sergio Perez has revealed his concern for Esteban Ocon with his year out but does believe he’s one of the best drivers in the business. Ocon was dropped by Force India for 2019, with the new Racing Point team choosing to go with Lance Stroll, son of owner Lawrence who bought the team with a consortium in the summer. Ocon is Mercedes’ reserve driver for the upcoming season and Perez acknowledged the position. "He is in a great position with Mercedes,” Perez told Motorsport.com. “He definitely deserves a seat in Formula 1, he is one of the best drivers in this sport.
