Alonso wants title drive in 2018

Fernando Alonso says his only priority for the 2018 season will be driving a car capable of fighting for the F1 World Championship. The statement could be interpreted as a clear signal that Alonso is preparing to quit McLaren at the end of the year, having rejoined the team in 2015 after being persuaded that their renewed alliance with Honda would propel the team back to the front of the grid.
