Sergey Sirotkin secures Renault F1 test role

Sergey Sirotkin Sergey Sirotkin will take part in opening practice for this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix after landing a test driver role with the Renault Formula 1 team. The 20-year-old is set to compete in several practice sessions this season as part of the development driver arrangement, beginning with a run in Kevin Magnussen's car at Sochi. Sirotkin will dovetail his F1 commitments alongside a GP2 campaign with the ART operation, co-founded by Renault F1 director Frederic Vasseur. The Russian finished third overall in his rookie year in the F1 feeder series last year. Sirotkin is no stranger to F1 machinery having made his practice debut with Sauber at the 2014 Russian Grand Prix....
