Williams hopes to be second-best team
– Williams is capable of emerging as Mercedes' nearest challenger during the upcoming Formula 1 campaign, according to chief test engineer Rod Nelson.Williams has finished third in the standings for the past two seasons, classifying behind Mercedes and Red Bull in 2014, and Mercedes and Ferrari in 2015.But as the 2016 pre-season period comes to a close, Nelson reckons he has seen enough from the FW38 to suggest that Williams can climb up the pecking order."It's very close, and every day is a little bit different," explained Nelson, when asked by GPUpdate.net where he feels Williams sits compared to its rivals."It comes a little bit easier as time goes on.
