Renault ends second test day early
– Renault has ended the second day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya earlier than planned, following a stoppage for Jolyon Palmer.Palmer's car came to a halt on the exit of Turn 2 at 14:35 local time, with smoke coming from the rear of the RS16, and the renewed works outfit will not return to the track.Palmer therefore ends the day on 42 laps, adding to the 37 laps he completed on Monday, with new team-mate Kevin Magnussen taking over for the final two days."Done for the day, but 42 laps is better than 37 laps.
