Palmer eyes 'long term' relationship with Renault

Jolyon Palmer says he wants to be with Renault long term, and while he concedes 2016 is likely to be a transitional season, he thinks the potential for the future is “huge”. Palmer was signed by the team when it was still Lotus, with the Renault takeover finally completed earlier this week. Speaking to the official Lotus F1 team website, and asked what is next for him, Palmer replied: “Next for me is to be with Renault long term. “I think 2016 will be exciting. It won't be the easiest year in a transition season but the long term potential is huge. I want to have a good year, show my best, and progress as a driver, and hopefully the team will keep me and we have a good car fighting...
