Mercedes sues employee for data theft
– Mercedes has confirmed that it is taking legal action against an employee, who is alleged to have gathered confidential information and data ahead of a planned move to rival team Ferrari.As reported by the Bloomberg news agency, Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is suing engineer Benjamin Hoyle, who intends to leave Mercedes for Ferrari at the end of the year.In the lawsuit, Hoyle is accused of searching for and saving Mercedes files, including a race report from the 2015 Hungarian Grand Pirx, along with engine mileage and damage data.Hoyle joined Mercedes' performance engineering department back in 2012."Hoyle's actions were calculated to destroy or seriously damage...
