Fernando Alonso rides a Moto GP bike at Honda Thanks Day

McLaren's Fernando Alonso represented the team at Honda's ‘Thanks Day' on Sunday at Twin Ring Motegi. The Spanish racer flew to Japan to take part in the event, drawing together almost 50 riders and drivers from Honda's motorsport activities. Also in attendance was former rival Takuma Sato, who raced with Jordan Honda, BAR Honda, & Super Aguri Honda between 2002 & 2008. He now races in Indycar with AJ Foyt Enterprises, still running Honda power. The event drew fans of the marque together to watch demonstrations and see their favourite machines up close, including Super Formula cars, F1 cars both new and old, and some race prepared production models.
