Rosberg beats Hamilton to Russian GP pole

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg secured pole position on Saturday in qualifying for the 2015 F1 Russian Grand Prix, comfortably beating team-mate and Championship leader, Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg was quickest in all three parts of qualifying, posting a 1 minute 37.113 second lap on his first run in the top-ten shoot-out, which left him 0.320s up on the sister car. Rosberg and Hamilton both then failed to improve on the second runs, with the latter making a mistake at Turn 13 and then aborting his lap.
