Pierre Gasly becomes Red Bull Racing reserve for season remainder

The young French driver will act as Red Bull's reserve driver for the remainder of this season. Currently racing in GP2 for DAMS, Gasly was signed up to the Red Bull Young Driver Program last year and has since tested for both Toro Rosso & Red Bull at the in-season tests this year. Gasly took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he has stepped up to the role of third driver for Red Bull Racing, meaning he will replace Daniel Ricciardo or Daniil Kvyat in the cockpit should either of them be unable to race. Presumably, he will also act as reserve for junior team Toro Rosso between now and the close of the season. 'I'm the reserve driver for the team until the end of the year.' said Gasly...
