‘Super Pole Shootout' for FE season two

In a change to the qualifying format, Formula E organisers have revealed that a ‘Super Pole Shootout' will be implemented for the 2015/2016 season. Previously, the twenty drivers were split into four random groups, with each group being given twelve minutes to set their fastest times. At the end of the four groups, the grid order was set. For this season, the group format will still exist, only this time each group will only be six minutes long, where each driver is expected to complete one outlap, one warm-up lap (at 170kW) and one flying lap (200kW). When all four of the groups have finished, the top five drivers will be decided by a final fifteen minute ‘shootout' session....
