Pirelli to define a 'clear procedure' on tyre use

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli will put in place a clear pre-race procedure in an attempt to avoid further controversy following an investigation into Italian Grand Prix race winner Lewis Hamilton. The Briton's left-rear tyre was found to be below the minimum allowed tyre pressure recommended by Pirelli, casting his race win into doubt as race stewards considered penalising him and team-mate Nico Rosberg. However no action was taken after it became clear that Mercedes had followed the rules, but did so earlier than usual, which allowed its tyres to cool on the grid, resulting in lower pressures.   The FIA stated that it would work with Pirelli to "provide clear guidance to...
