Experience vital for struggling McLaren
McLaren racing director Eric Boullier admits it is important for the team to have experienced drivers due to their current predicament. It has been a tough year for Woking squad as their power unit supplier Honda has struggled to come to grips with the engine regulations following their return to the sport. As a result, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button have found themselves struggling at the wrong end of the grid, but Boullier feels that having veteran drivers will help the team to move forward.
