Alonso says race was his best at Spa

Fernando Alonso says his performance in the Belgium Grand Prix was the best of his career at Spa despite finishing down in 13th position. The McLaren driver, starting from the back of the grid after his engine-change penalties, finished a lap down on race winner Lewis Hamilton as he struggled for pace in the Honda-powered car. But Alonso finished some 40 seconds in front of teammate Jenson Button, a feat he considered a success despite the disappointing result.
