Rosberg: Tyre failure a shocking moment

Nico Rosberg says his tyre blowout during second practice for the Belgian Grand Prix was a 'shocking moment', adding that it was 'pure luck' that he didn't hit the wall. The German was quickest in first practice on Friday morning, despite a gearbox issue costing him track time mid-way through the session. He also finished at the top of the timesheets in second practice, but his running was cut short when his right-rear tyre failed on the run to the flat-out Blanchimont corner. Rosberg's car spun off track but avoided hitting the wall, bringing his session to a premature end. Mercedes and Pirelli are now investigating the tyre blowout.
