Excessive kerb loads caused Perez Hungaroring crash
Sahara Force India Chief Operating Officer Otmar Szafnauer has revealed that a different loading on the suspension of the VJM08 caused Sergio Perez to crash during practice on Friday at the Hungaroring. Perez rolled his car following the suspension failure during FP1, with the team withdrawing from the second session as a precaution while they investigated the issue, with the team determining that the high loading while running over the kerbing at the Hungaroring was the cause of the failure, with Szafnauer revealing that the team have bolstered their suspension as a result.
