Hulkenberg capitalises for season-best seventh

On a day that would see all-but-one Mercedes-powered car crack the top ten in qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, Nico Hulkenberg duly turned in his best grid position of the season in seventh place. A circuit the team had hoped would play to the strengths of the VJM08, Hulkenberg and team-mate Sergio Perez duly took full advantage to get into Q3 – the first time the team has gotten both of its cars into the top ten this year.
