Ecclestone hints at loss of Italian GP
Formula One's future calendars continue to be in flux, as recent comments by Bernie Ecclestone did little to assuage concerns over Monza's future and all but rubbished speculation that Qatar would receive a grand prix in the next few years. 'Italy don't have an agreement, a bit like Germany really,' Ecclestone said of Monza's prospects of remaining a fixture, referencing the contract troubles that lapsed into cancellation of the 2015 German Grand Prix. Removing Monza from the calendar would mean the first time in over six decades, since the inception of the sport, that Italy has not hosted a Grand Prix.
