Vergne penalised for Grosjean collision, drops to tenth

+ Jean-Eric Vergne has been relegated from ninth to tenth in the final classification for the United States Grand Prix after picking up a penalty for causing a collision with Romain Grosjean. Vergne collided with his compatriot Grosjean late in Sunday’s race after a wild attempt to pass the Lotus driver for ninth at Turn 1. While the Toro Rosso racer continued on to finish 10th, the contact damaged Grosjean’s front wing and floor, dropping him to 11th at the chequered flag. Vergne was later promoted to ninth position after Pastor Maldonado took a post-race five second penalty for speeding in the pit lane, but has forfeited the place back to the Venezuelan after picking up a five second...
