Whiting praises Sochi circuit progress
– FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting has praised construction progress at the new Russian Grand Prix circuit situated in the grounds of Sochi's Winter Olympic Park, after his latest visit to the Black Sea resort.Although the country is not scheduled to stage its inaugural Grand Prix until mid-October, Whiting and his team have carried out numerous inspections to ensure that it will be ready to welcome the Formula 1 fraternity.And following the Winter Olympic Games in February, Whiting has been impressed by the transition."It looks so much better!"
