Austrian Grand Prix to retain June slot in 2015

Pit walk for fans in Austria Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone has said that the Austrian Grand Prix will be held in June again next season, Austrian media reported on Saturday. The race, which returned to Austria this season for the first time in 11 years, will keep a June slot in 2015, Ecclestone told Austrian news agency APA. But the exact date will be decided only at the end of the year, and in seasons following 2015 it is not certain when the race will take place. 'It is important to have the race back,' Ecclestone was quoted as saying about Formula One's return to Austria. 'It is good for the region and for Formula One.' (AFP)
