Perez penalty to be reviewed by FIA on Friday afternoon

Sergio Perez and Felipe Massa are to meet the FIA stewards this afternoon, with confirmation that their Canadian Grand Prix accident will be reinvestigated in light of fresh evidence. Force India declared their intent on Thursday to request a review into the last lap clash that eliminated both Perez along with Massa from the race in Canada, an incident for which the Mexican was handed a five-place grid penalty for this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix, owing to that fact that he had not been able to speak directly to the stewards prior to receiving his punishment.
