Maldonado quickest on final morning of test

– Lotus driver Pastor Maldonado set the standard on the final morning of running at the second in-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Venezuelan delivered a series of quick attempts at the Spanish venue to end the session with a best time of 1:26.311, leaving him comfortably clear of the field. Kimi Räikkönen enjoyed a more productive morning in his Ferrari and ended second fastest. Mercedes trialled a 'megaphone' exhaust on Rosberg's W05 Hybrid during the first couple of hours of running but this did not have any effect on the noise levels.
