Ecclestone bets against his Munich trial happening 9 February, 2014 Bernie Ecclestone Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone does not believe the trial where he faces bribery and incitement charges related to a $45 million payment made to German banker Gerhard Gribkowsky. When asked about by BBC Sport about the trial scheduled to take place in Munich between 24 April and 16 September, Ecclestone said, 'Bet you it doesn't happen… things happen in life and you have to get on with it.'
