McLaren unveils Le Mans-bound MCL-HY hypercar contender

On Monday, McLaren officially unveiled its MCL-HY stunning LMDh prototype that will spearhead the manufacturer’s charge back to the top step of the podium in the World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans in 2027. Built on a Dallara chassis and powered by a V6 twin-turbo engine born from a joint venture between McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive, the MCL-HY is a technical marvel. But it’s the test livery that stole the show: a vibrant tribute to McLaren’s M6A, the Can-Am beast raced by Bruce McLaren himself in 1967....
