Ferrari called upon to rescue F1 legend from Italian roadblock

07/06/2025 at 09:3406/06/2025 at 23:27 Formula 1 World Champion Jody Scheckter has conquered high-speed circuits across the globe, tamed snarling turbocharged beasts, and once brought Ferrari its last title before a 21-year drought – but now finds himself outwitted by Italian bureaucracy. The South African-born racing legend, who recently traded the rolling fields of Hampshire for the rustic beauty of Liguria, Italy, has found himself in a rather unexpected bind: he no longer has a valid driver’s licence. With his UK license expired and his Italian as shaky as a rookie’s first lap, Scheckter is stuck in the pits, and has called on Ferrari’s legal...
