Fernando Alonso makes huge admission about Lewis Hamilton incident

Fernando Alonso admitted after finishing third at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday that getting past Lewis Hamilton on the first lap was more 'important' than his final lap move on Sergio Perez for P3. Alonso didn't get the best launch off the line and was overtaken by both Lando Norris and Hamilton on the opening lap, although he did get past Lance Stroll. The race was then red-flagged following damage to a tyre barrier at the first corner, after Alex Albon was involved in a collision with both Haas drivers. When the race got back underway, Alonso pulled off a crucial move on Hamilton at Turn 4, which promoted him into third. Want to work in Formula 1? Browse the latest F1 job vacancies...
