Max Verstappen made the perfect start at the F1 Qatar Grand Prix by topping a crucial sole practice session on a weekend he can clinch the world championship. The Red Bull driver will win his third consecutive drivers’ world title if he scores at least three points - the equivalent of a sixth-place finish - in Saturday’s sprint race at Losail.
