Sainz 'shocked' when seeing remains of Grosjean's chassis
Article To news overview Carlos Sainz said he was "shocked" when he first saw Romain Grosjean's burnt chassis from the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix. The charcoaled remains of the survival cell from the Haas VF-20 which enabled Grosjean to survive his fiery crash at the start of the race, is on display at the F1 Exhibition. Sainz recently visited as part of its extended run through to 16th July at the IFEMA in Madrid. “The most shocking piece in my opinion is of course the burnt chassis of Romain Grosjean," he said. “It is a great reminder of how dangerous this sport can be, despite all modern safety measures.
