Fernando Alonso makes surprising claim about Lewis Hamilton
The relationship between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso dates back to the pair’s partnership at McLaren during the 2007 season. With Hamilton debuting in Formula 1, Alonso had made the switch to the team, having won back to back titles at Renault. Alonso’s time at the team would last for one season, finishing third in the Drivers’ Standings, just behind his teammate and only one point behind title winner Kimi Raikkonen. At the end of the 2007 season, Alonso would leave McLaren to return to Renault but his respect for and rivalry with Hamilton would remain to this day. Want to work in Formula 1?
