Verstappen shocked by 'absurd' FIA super licence fee

Each driver must pay a fee to the governing body to participate in a Formula 1 season, with the final figure consisting of a basic fee of 10,400 combined with an amount calculated based on how many points the driver scored in the previous campaign. Verstappen claimed 454 points en route to winning the title in 2022. With 2,100 charged per point scored, this means that Verstappen's total comes in at 963,800.
