Stroll hit with penalty for Mexico after Alonso shunt

Article To news overview © XPBimages Lance Stroll has been slapped with a three-place Formula 1 gird-drop for the Mexico City Grand Prix after his accident with Fernando Alonso in the United States. On Lap 22 after a Safety Car restart, Stroll jinked to the left to defend from Alonso, but did so too late and the Alpine rammed the Aston Martin - briefly getting airborne. While Alonso carried on after a pitstop for repairs, Stroll retired on the spot - the rear of the car being destroyed. He felt he had left Alonso "plenty of room" but the stewards investigated the matter after the race - where Alonso finished seventh. In their decision, the stewards found Stroll...
