Piastri denies agreement with Alpine
Alpine announced earlier today that they have signed Australian Oscar Piastri to drive for them in 2023 replacing Aston Martin bound Fernando Alonso. However, shortly after Alpine issued their statement, Piastri took to social media to announced that there is no agreement with the French Formula 1 team, and that he won't be driving for them. Piastri said in his statement: 'I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. 'This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023. I will not be driving for Alpine next year,' the reigning Formula 2 Champion insisted. Worth noting, that the...
