After being absent from the calendar for several years, the Imola venue made a return to the schedule in 2020, and has remained a fixture ever since. At the 2021 event, Lewis Hamilton took pole position, but it was Max Verstappen who beat him to victory on race day. This year, the weekend format will look a little different due to Imola hosting the first of three Sprint events to be held in 2022.
