Full results FP2 | Verstappen beats Leclerc with fastest time
Max Verstappen has written the second free practice to his name at the first Grand Prix of the year in Bahrain. The Dutchman was less than one tenth faster than competitor and contemporary Charles Leclerc. Ferrari is doing well on Friday as Carlos Sainz took third place. Fourth place was prey to George Russell, while Lewis Hamilton had to make do with ninth place. The Mercedes don't seem to have fixed all the problems from last week, as the stability was not there with the W13. Fernando Alonso (Alpine) and Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) surprised with fifth and sixth place respectively. Sergio Perez closed in on P7. Surely the surprise of Friday afternoon was Haas F1.
