Mazepin tests positive for Covid-19

Haas' Nikita Mazepin will sit out the season finale, the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, after testing positive for Covid-19. Haas F1 team confirmed on Sunday, that their driver Mazepin will not partake in today race, after testing positive for Covide-19, the team confirming that the Russian driver is asymptomatic. In a statement by the F1 Media, it was confirmed that there would be no replacement for the Haas driver as per article 31.1 of the 2021 FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations, which 'prohibits any driver from starting the race who has not taken part in at least one practice session.'
