Mercedes: 'Verstappen needed the mediums to have a chance'

Red Bull Racing seemed to have a strong car on Saturday, but Mercedes were faster on Sunday. The Mercedes engineers say in a conversation with Auto, Motor und Sport that Red Bull's strategy just didn't work out. In qualifying the Red Bull car was rock solid, but in the long runs it was Mercedes who came out on top. According to the Mercedes engineers, Max Verstappen's team was too busy with the set-up for Saturday. "In Q3 we lost to Max in every corner and not just the seven where he was faster on Sunday.
