Five place grid penalty for Lando Norris

Article To news overview © McLaren Lando Norris will take a five-place grid penalty for the Belgian Grand Prix, as a result of McLaren fitting his car with a new gearbox. Norris will start the race from 14th on the grid, having finished qualifying in 10th place after crashing out of Q3 in a scary incident at Eau Rouge. Norris was promoted to ninth despite his absence, due to a five-place grid penalty for Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas for causing a Turn 1 crash at the Hungaroring last time out. Norris' gearbox change penalty thus demotes him from ninth to 14th. "After assessing the damage to Lando's car, we have decided to change the gearbox, resulting in a 5 place grid penalty,"...
