Shovlin: Mercedes taking encouragement from car's pace

Article To news overview © Mercedes Mercedes' Andrew Shovlin believes closing the championship gap to Red Bull and Max Verstappen is still possible this weekend, despite the Dutch driver's victory in the Sprint Qualifying race on Saturday giving him pole position for Sunday. Having been beaten on single lap pace in Friday qualifying, Verstappen stormed into the lead at the start of the 17 lap qualifying race and was able to control it from there.
