Alonso discharged from hospital in Switzerland
Alpine Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso will continue his recuperation from a cycling accident at home after being discharged from hospital on Monday. Alonso was cycling through the town of Lugano, Switzerland on Thursday when he was involved in a collision with a motorist outside of a supermarket car park. Alonso was taken to hospital by ambulance and diagnosed with an upper jaw fracture. Medics performed surgery on the injury and concluded that the operation as a success. He has now left hospital and is expected to be fit in time for the start of the new Formula 1 season. “After a period of 48 hours observation at hospital in Switzerland, Fernando has now been discharged to continue...
