Portuguese Grand Prix poised to join 2021 calendar

The Portuguese Grand Prix will fill the vacant slot on the 2021 calendar, completing the schedule, according to a report by Autosport. They state that after talks between Formula 1 officials and race organisers to gain a better understanding of the situation in Portugal as the world continues to battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, a breakthrough has been made. And that breakthrough will be the confirmation of the Portuguese Grand Prix at the Algarve International Circuit to be held on May 2, according to Autosport, making it Round 3 of the 2021 season.
