Binotto looking for Sainz to move team forward
Mattia Binotto has said that he's hoping Carlos Sainz will be able to help the team move up in the Constructors' Championship. Ferrari ended the 2020 season down in P5, largely due to the fact that Sebastian Vettel wasn't able to score anywhere near as many points as Charles Leclerc. The German will be replaced by Sainz for 2021, and the team principal is hoping that he can help the team move up in the team standings. 'What we are expecting from Carlos is a fast driver, he is very strong,' said Binotto as per GPFans. 'If you look at the 2020 season, it was really a very good season.
