Tost happy with 2020 and Gasly: 'Better than 2008 with Vettel'
AlphaTauri experienced a special season in 2020. The team could not compete with McLaren, Racing Point and Renault, but due to the occasional lightning-fast car, they had a few peaks. Franz Tost even calls it their best season so far. In the event of such a statement, the comparison with 2008 must be made automatically. AlphaTauri's 2020 season corresponds in several respects to Toro Rosso's 2008 season. It is the only two times that the team finished sixth in the constructors' championship and both times they achieved an unexpected victory in Monza. Nevertheless, 2020 rises above them for Tost.
