Ilott to test with Alfa Romeo in Abu Dhabi
Alfa Romeo has announced that Ferrari-backed Callum Ilott will drive its C39 at the post-season test in Abu Dhabi next month. Ilott has tested with the Italian team before, driving the C38 at an in-season test in Barcelona last year, with the day ending in a crash for the Briton after he clocked 40 laps. The Ferrari junior driver was scheduled to make his FP1 debut at the Nurburgring earlier this year with Haas but poor weather conditions denied him the opportunity to get onto the track.
