Vietnamese GP Dropped From 2021 F1 Calendar
Formula One has released its official calendar for the 2021 season, with the street circuit race in Hanoi being dropped. Originally slated to take place in late April, issues arose after the arrest of race promoter and Hanoi People's Committee chairman, Nguyen Duc Chung. READ: ‘F*** The Oil Money’: Fans React To The 2021 Saudi Arabian GP Specifically, Chung was arrested on charges of alleged appropriation of documents containing state secrets back in August. Although the case has nothing to do with the grand prix, the Vietnamese government has indicated that they have other priorities at this time than to be considering an appointee to oversee the race.
